Our vision is a thriving, sustainable society, powered by a regenerative and inclusive economy.

Our mission is to advance leadership towards sustainability by educating decision makers and facilitating generative social impact networks that enable collaboration for transformational, systemic change.

We work with organizations in the higher education, business, non-profit, and public sectors to promote a strategic approach to sustainability, and facilitate collaboration among organizations and across sectors to accelerate progress toward sustainability.

We encourage all organizations to encompass their visions for success with the sustainability principles (or ‘system conditions’) articulated in the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (also known as The Natural Step Framework):

a sustainable society means that nature is not subject to systematic increases in:

  • concentrations of substances from the Earth’s crust;

  • concentrations of substances produced by society;

  • degradation by physical means;

and, in that society,

  • people are not subject to conditions that systematically undermine their capacity to meet their needs.
